The ATHOS team receives the Husqvarna Excite Award for most entrepreneurial individual!

The Husqvarna Group Excite Days 2018 took place in Malmö (Sweden) on June 25th and 26th.

Eight of the approximately 11,000 Husqvarna Group suppliers worldwide received awards in various categories at this event. Surprisingly the award for the most entrepreneurial Individual was given to the entire ATHOS team.

ATHOS manufactures hose reel systems for Husqvarna subsidiary GARDENA. At the beginning of the partnership in 2013, just 100,000 units per year were planned. However, this production capacity had to be repeatedly adjusted due to the strong demand in the following years. GARDENA currently expects a continued rising demand for 2019. This means that the system manufactured by ATHOS is now Gardena's second most profitable product after its mowing robots.

At the event Kai Wärn, CEO of the Husqvarna Group, praised the high flexibility, innovative power and consistently high quality with which ATHOS has mastered this enormous increase. "We are very pleased about this uncommon decision", says Rainer Ehlert, Managing Director of ATHOS Elektrosysteme GmbH in Knittlingen. "The award recognizes the outstanding performance of every single employee from development to production. Without this strong team the enormous increase in production capacity would have been impossible to achieve. At the same time, we see the still growing global demand from end customers as a clear signal that our product development is on the right track. The award is also a signal that the Husqvarna Group is ready to further expand this important partnership for both sides. So we are looking forward to further joint successes."
